During recent years I have actively been trying to find answers to life’s suffering through the tradition of Christianity. My search for answers has resulted In theological studies at Helsinki university, and since then I have started to notice Christian themes in many modern art works and artists. I believe that the wisdom of humanity has been condensed into a series of books, and holds more sophisticated ideas of human existence, experience and suffering that one would initially expect.
My relationship with God is a continuous theme in my art. It’s a sacred process and I try to embrace religiosity as much and as thoughtfully as I can. I have depicted in some of my works biblical women from the Old Testament. I find incredible beauty in the women of the Bible, and want to share my experience through the format I feel most connected with, which is painting.
