Kʏn ɔʃɔlɔrɔ (kyn ogoloro) The Children of The Sun - is a unisex upcycled clothing collection that symbolizes the balance between equality and the uniqueness of each individual.

The clothing emphasizes the individual characteristics of each person, creating a sense of freedom and self-expression without falling into the traps of traditional gender norms.

In this world, people choose their clothes, profession, hobbies, and life path based on their personal preferences and interests, rather than what is expected for men or women. Identity can be multilayered and personal. This allows us to better understand human diversity and opens new horizons for understanding human nature. Each of us contains both masculine and feminine principles, and these principles coexist within us as part of the broader concept of human nature—this is a reflection of our multifaceted nature and adaptability to different conditions. Embracing both sides allows a person to be more whole, flexible, and harmonious in life.

In this collection, prints play a significant role. Every pattern in the prints has its own sacred meaning. The designs are inspired by the culture of the Sakha people, an indigenous group from northern Russia. The meaning of the symbols is described below.

Look 1

1. KYN vest + shirt, one size

The symbol on the vest represents the sun. In traditional Sakha worldview, the sun symbolizes the life force. It represents warmth, light, the beginning of a new day, and the rebirth of nature after a long winter. For the Sakha, who live in harsh conditions where winter takes up a significant part of the year, the sun plays a crucial role in sustaining life. All people are nourished by the same energy coming from the sun, regardless of gender, age, or cultural differences. Each person is unique, like a ray of the sun, despite sharing the same source of light.

2. IKKI URATY skirt-pants, one size (adjustable)

Two ways to wear - as a half skirt-half pants or just a skirt. The skirt-pants are designed with a clean cut on one side and more free, expressive details on the other. This emphasizes the idea that we are all equally significant, but express our individuality in different ways.

Look 2

1. YS KUT shirt, one size

The symbol on the back, “Us Kut” (Three Souls), in Sakha culture represents the concept of three human souls that make up one’s essence.

- Iye Kut — the ancestral soul. This soul is passed to a person from their ancestors, parents, and kin. It is responsible for the connection with blood relatives, traditions, and culture.

- Salgyn Kut — considered the highest soul, it is connected to the spiritual nature of a person and their relationship with the spirit world and higher powers. It is given to a person by the heavens and defines their spiritual mission, moral qualities, and fate. It governs one’s emotions, moods, feelings, and will to live.

- Buor Kut — the physical body. This soul is linked to the life energy that sustains the body. It represents the outer shell of a person.

This concept teaches the importance of maintaining balance between all aspects of life and highlights the deep connection between humans, nature, and the spiritual world.

The front of the shirt features a combination of the growth/prosperity symbol and the protection symbol "Bies Kharakh." The symbol "Bies Kharakh" translates from the Sakha language as “five eyes,” where "Bies" means "five" and "Kharakh" means “eye” or “light.” In traditional Sakha cosmology, there are five directions: north, south, east, west, and center. These directions symbolize connection with the world and surrounding nature. "Five eyes" represent attention and control over all sides of the world, as if an eye is watching in each direction, ensuring protection and connection with the universe.

2. SAYUN jeans, S-M

The jeans feature symbols of growth/prosperity and “Bies Kharakh,” which together offer a blessing for growth and protection from negative influences.

These symbols express the idea of growth, harmony, and continuous renewal, emphasizing the philosophy of prosperity, both physical and spiritual.

3. YS EIGE coat, one size

On the back is the symbol of Aal Luuk Mas – the sacred tree in Sakha culture. The roots of this tree reach into the Lower World, the crown grows in the Middle World, and the branches stretch high into the sky, where the deities of the Upper World reside. The tree serves as a pillar connecting all three worlds. Without it, chaos would ensue, and the natural order would be disrupted.

Aal Luuk Mas is the tree of life and a symbol of the center of the universe.
