Alex
Markwith

Known for his mixed media paintings and sculptures, Alex Markwith is a Helsinki-based visual artist whose practice combines abstraction, collage and street art aesthetics through an intuitive and visceral awareness of color and material.

Recent works utilize spray paint alongside expressionistic brushwork, roughly drawn grids, digital-inspired imagery and found objects. Each piece becomes a multiplicity, balancing architectural and organic, deliberation and improvisation.
